B.Sc Maths with CA is an undergraduate 3 years degree programme that comes under the Science stream. This programme is designed in such a way to have a Mathematical attitude towards problem formulation and tackling insightful abilities and desire for correctness; and appreciation of the approaching of mathematical techniques, the programming skills at higher level computer language and research aptitude in both Mathematics and Computer Applications. It aims at preparing graduates for employment in application areas that require sustainable input from both these two disciplines.
It provides not only the skills highly sought after by employers but also the mathematical knowledge specifically required for real life phenomenon. It also aims to make the learning process as a celebration by facilitating the students to solve issues of concern in society through synergetic applications of the principles of mathematics and computer science. SMSCAS established the course as an allied department in the year 2000 and as a major department in the year 2003 – 2004.
