The Department of Social Work was started in the year 2008 with the motive to serve people with humanitarian and ethical values. It offers Master of Social Work (MSW), a two year post graduate program with specializations of Human Resource Management (HRM), Medical and Psychiatric Social Work (MPSW) and Community Development (CD).
Social Work as a profession is extremely rewarding as it equips individuals, families, groups, and communities. The ultimate goal is to assist the nearby Perur village and its surrounding area.
The Department is about to start a PhD programme in the academic year 2021-2022 which will further develop the knowledge on social work practices. The Department works on providing advanced knowledge on social work and to provide quality of learning.
To excel in the field of social work and be competent to the National and International level social work professionals for the welfare of the society.
