Description :Cheran Group of Institutions, committed to fostering sports skills among students, has been organizing a series of competitions. In line with this mission, we hosted the Cheran Trophy District-Level Football Tournament on October 1, 2023, at the SMS College of Arts and Science campus in Perur. This exciting event saw a strong participation of 45 teams from across the district, competing in two age categories, 17 and 19 years. Dr. Balakrishnan, our esteemed Principal, inaugurated the tournament, which was impeccably coordinated by Mr. Tamilazhagan, the Director of Physical Education. The students exhibited tremendous enthusiasm and skill, and the victorious teams were duly rewarded with certificates and prizes. Special accolades were bestowed upon outstanding players, including the best goalkeeper. We are thrilled to announce that upcoming competitions in volleyball and throwball are already in the works, promising more thrilling sports action in the days ahead.
